About This Zone
The Kawartha Lakes and the historic Trent-Severn Waterway form a connected inland fishery stretching from Peterborough to Lake Huron. This 386-kilometre route of lakes, rivers, and 40 locks offers unique fishing opportunities — from smallmouth bass in the shallow Kawarthas to lake trout in the deeper northern lakes. The waterway is both a paddler's paradise and a fisherman's playground.
