The St. Lawrence River and Ottawa River form two of Ontario's most iconic waterways, each offering distinct fishing experiences. The St. Lawrence — from Cornwall through the Thousand Islands to Kingston — is renowned for large smallmouth bass, walleye, and salmon runs. The Ottawa River, Ontario's longest river (1,271 km), offers wilderness pike and walleye fishing from Pembroke to the Quebec boundary.
